Because the gas is mixed with oxygen and wears off within minutes after the procedure, most children can return to their normal activities the same day.
General Anesthesia is used for more complex procedures or for very anxious children. It is administered by a specialized anesthesiology team that our dentist works in conjunction with, allowing your child to be fully sedated and asleep throughout the entire visit. This approach ensures their safety and comfort during treatment, especially when deeper sedation is necessary.
